Michigan’s own "Golden Child", 14KT, is a true artist, music producer, and DJ. 14KT is renowned as an avant-garde 'Chop Artist,' the way he masterfully manipulates samples to craft original beats and mesmerizing soundscapes. Drawing inspiration from hip-hop luminaries like Nas, DJ Premier, and Wu-Tang Clan, Outkast, and Slum Village, 14KT embarked on a journey that led him to join the legendary Michigan Hip-Hop collective, Athletic Mic League - where he finely tuned his skills as both an emcee and producer. 14KT is a member of DJ Jazzy Jeff's 'Playlist Retreat' Family - a collective of innovative award – winning DJs, artists, and producers. His signature production style has graced tracks for certified legends such as Bun B, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Aloe Blacc, Mayer Hawthorne, Royce 5'9, JMSN and countless others. KT has composed original theme music for NPR’s’ Stateside’ on Michigan Radio and earned the title of National Big Tune Beat Battle Champion.
